Sorry for the break in transmission - I had to nip out for essential supplies and a mate came round to get some Swastikas - Decals I mean, he is not a Nazi. :ha:

Image

The Monkies were getting restless too so I fed them, the cats & the fish. So much to do & so little time. :frown:

I got the decals on the IP & cockpit. The pit ones curled up and look rubbish so I will add a little detail but not much.

Image

I don't think Fritz will fit in the seat unless he loses some weight. :-D

I will try to get back on track with a 2pm update.

Well Done, OT !
So far we've established the real reason for the Blitzhaus was so someone would bring you a clock and a mug :) but you've managed on your own

Cheers John, glad you could pop in. The kids got me the mug for Xmas, it's full of useful information like: "If a month starts on a Sunday you will always have a Friday the 13th.". Spooky or a Government conspiracy?

Anyway, I am a little behind my schedule but the fuselage is together. Fit is not great so will require some sanding which will probably obliterate the nice panel lines.

Image

Whilst the glue sets I will paint the top half of Fritz, tackle the tail booms and fit the U\C doors in the closed position.
Oh, and also mask the canopy. :smilie_flagge3:

Great stuff OT. The sanding could be a pain and it's a pity to lose nice detail with little or no available time to effect repairs but I suppose that's one of the compromises to be accepted when doing a Blitz. I see you're a Greggs enthusiast - you'll need to work hard though to burn off the calories
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

It's OK Shaun, I am eating an apple now.

I got the canopy masked and painted. Then I decided that I had best sort out the stand before I went any furthur.

Coming together nicely now. 8-)

Thanks very much my Norwegian friend.

It's getting very warm in the attic room now. I should of thought of that before I started.

The main assemblies are coming together now.

Every seam has had some filler. Nothing drastic it has just slowed me down a bit.

As way of entertainment today I am listening to a few podcasts from LibriVox. They are all books in the public domain and well worth checking out. So far I have listened to the life story of Geronimo, the first Punic war and now I am on to Fighting the Flying Circus by Eddie Rickenbacker.

A neighbour just popped round with these:

I picked the wrong day to start my diet!

More to follow. :smilie_flagge3:

Coming along nicely, though I bet the filling is adding to the pressure a bit. Attic rooms, don't you just love 'em? they are handy but always seem to be too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer! That's a thoughtful neighbour - COOP power snacks, much better calorific punch than an apple - are you going to eat all five? personally I would recommend maximum consumption on the basis that the energy is required to get you through this build. Don't forget, proper blokes don't do diets (or so I'm told) ;-)

You seem to be moving along and yum to the donuts.

I guess I'm lucky as my work area is in the basement. Nice and chilly just the way I like it

Thanks guys, it turns out I am a proper fat bloke!

It's 5pm now so I need to feed the kids and myself. I have a craving for fishfingers. Wow, fish and an apple in the same day - I must be a fat health food freak.

It's all together:

Image

The bottom half of Fritz is already in situ in the cockpit tub. Just awaiting the joystick being rammed between his legs. It is a very tight little pit as can be seen here:

More Flitzer images can be foundhere.

Sorry for the delay, I am having some real issues with Photobucket today.
