My coffee cup monster has given up its prize, one large lump of blue-tac that fell of the bottom of a box when I moved it.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

I'm back at the bench nothing to see all I have done is remove most of the surface detail and the heavy lines on the wings.
I'm about to try and fit the wing, photos to follow when it's in place.

Oh dear, yes. But be careful with fingers getting stuck to cockpit parts. Just happened to me today.splash wrote: The plastic on this kit is quite soft and will take time to set so I'm going to leave it for a short while, on reflection I should have use super glue.
Canned beans or smoked trout, hmmm tough choice!
Looking good, Splash. Enjoy your build.
Btw, is this your coffee monster?

Interesting little model and good progress made. I was concerned about 'beaked' beans, but sort of reassured by what I saw in the tin. That said, eating them like that will still add to your 'waisting'. I have a client whose sole diet consists of Heinz baked beans and cups of tea. He's lived that way for decades and is physically very healthy.

A real coffee drinker would squeeze the coffee out of the Blue-tac back in the cup for one last swallow ....splash wrote:My coffee cup monster has given up its prize, one large lump of blue-tac that fell of the bottom of a box when I moved it.

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

I have hit my first problem, the wing struts do not fit and are all moulded different shapes that do not match the plans, so the only one option is to scratch build some, not quite what you want on a blitz

Re: Splash's Skoda D-1 ***started****
I expect confusion between wing struts and undercarriage, with the longest being the main wing struts.

I thought that might be the case, but when I checked I had four different length and shaped struts.MerlinJones wrote:I expect confusion between wing struts and undercarriage, with the longest being the main wing struts.

Great work so far. It'll be a great little model when it's done.
All the best.

Time for some paint I think a spot of OD will look OK.
Time to flash up the compressor.

Are you sure you need the hassle of an airbrush, especially when Blitzing a single colour? I'm thinking of the necessity to clean the tool amidst building.
Great work on the struts and u/c, by the way.

Bruce
