As I'm leave I've had a bit of a sleep in, but have just given it another coat of gloss while making breakfast. Wind had got up so I was stood in the greenhouse, in my pyjamas, spraying a small model with a rattlecan.

I hope Abby didn't mind you popping out to the greenhouse in your pyjamas to give a small model a coating ;-P...
Booths has the Blackcurrant and Liquorice, and "Blood Tonic". J and the kids like the former, but I haven't had the nerve to try the latter...
bestest,
M.

@Matt, shame on you!
I was obviously still a bit bleary eyed as I got some runs, which I've had to sand out and touch up carefully. The tail was particularly bad.
This is going to be tight!

You've got the runs!?! Too much sass and do we really need to know about your tail as a consequence?
A lot can happen in 3 hours...steady does it.

While Paint dries I've made preparations for the final assault. Separate doors, assembled undercarriage, prepped the little resin tail balances and cut my decals.

If you want and X-4, yes. It's simple enough but just has the usual shortrun challenges that need TIME to sort out properly.splash wrote:Would you recommend the kit?

Go James Go. Great build and GREAT lunch.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

The support you have the model on in the photo, is that for your tail problems?

+23:40hrs Completion!!!!
The decalling went well which meant I could concentrate on adding the details without rushing. I fixed everything with CA glue. I had to add a new tip the the nose probe after breaking the original off, but it was too short anyway. Silver paint pen make them nice and shiny.
@splash The loo roll was allowed me the position the model on it's side or back with the wing or tail down the hole while I decalled or added the undercarriage. Meant I had both hands free.
Summary and some better pics shortly.
