Maybe add red stars instead of stars & bars?

Tim- the USAF markings are a quite blatant and totally unashamed mottle dodging maneuvre that would look good on the shelf when finished.

splash- I prefer the new world option.
This model really is too simple and I have separated the flaps and drooped the elevators.
The wings are now on and the joints filled.

The airframe is now complete, when the glue has dried I can mask the canopy and paint the model.
