Ian's Struggling with a Stork! **COMPLETE**
Ian's Struggling with a Stork! **COMPLETE**
FROGS!
That can only mean ONE THING.
Ian is Blitzing!
I have taken over part of the kitchen this evening. Here's all my stuff.
And here's the sprue shots of the Academy Fi 156 Storch.
I guess I'd better get cracking!

Go Ian. Will be watching.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale
Re: Ian's Struggling with a Stork! **UNDERWAY**
So the first hour sees Mrs. Ian performing her wifely duty supremely well.
The clear parts were dunked in Klear and have been set aside to dry.
The first sections cover the interior and fuselage assembly.
So that's just what I set about doing.
And then it was on to the engine assembly.
Done!
The must have been another version of the Storch as there are more parts (not used) for an open engine....
And then by 20:00 the fuselage and wings are assembled and drying.
A constructive hour. Once I've gotten the fuselage filled and sanded (if and where appropriate) I can turn my attention to masking the clear parts. This HAS to be done early on as the wings fit onto tabs moulded onto the canopy. Without getting the masking done, all I can work on is the tail.

Nice work so far Ian, that's quite a bit of masking you've got to do.

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?
Re: Ian's Struggling with a Stork! **UNDERWAY**
Last update tonight.
New blade and parts ready for trimming
And I am happy to report NO blood!
These parts have now been assembled around the fuselage opening and there they can stay overnight to make sure the joins are nice and strong ready for the wings in the morning.
Night all.

This is looking great, Ian!
The masking is very good. Wish I could do it that well. Like another here said, practice, practice.
Exciting to watch as I recently bought this kit myself for RNoAF Trainers.
You are making fast progress and you will finish this way before 24 hours
