Just stopping to eat will be back soon.

Re: Splash's P-51B Mustang started
Sorry for the lack of updates, now the wife is back I had to cook something other than cold baked Beans, so we both sat down to Spaghetti Bolognese, all made from scratch with my own fair hands.
The good wife cleaned up my mess and let me get back down to work, the decals all went on with no problems at all and look like no silvering even though I didn’t use Klear.
One childish error I stuck the undercarriage on the wrong way around and had to cut it off and try again, hence the final shot is on its lego stand.
This is a really nice kit and I don’t think I have done it justice by blitzing it, the surface detail is very fine and detailed.
Once the blitz GB is over I going to come back to this kit and give it some weathering as I think the fine detail will look good with a thin wash and the right colour webbing.
One strange thing about the kit, you get two types of drop tank but only one of each, did they really fly with different size drop tanks or has HobbyBoss got it wrong?
I'm calling this one done and will take some shots when the sun comes up again tomorrow.
Thanks for all your comments I have enjoyed this build, it was a shame about the SIAT as I was looking forward to building that, but my LMS will swap it as I only got it on Saturday.

Ha, the B-17 you first saw the Lego's used is still mounted on them. I'm so slow at finishing kits...splash wrote:I must give Dirk credit for the use of Lego for a building standPrisca wrote:Gorgeous. Love the base!

Very good Splash.
Now that you're properly warmed up, what's next?

Great job Splash.
It looks like a couple of the firemen nodded off at the unveiling.
