Small update. The Spitfire is complete (Despite me knocking the pitot tube off twice) except for the decals and the Green Saladin is almost done barring headlights and decals. The white Saladin needs a few pieces and decals (I need to rummage through the decals spares for my UN decal sheet). The Mystere is about to get it's underside painted and the Sontaran timekeeper has gone for a nap.
Don't feel useless Ian mate. Just keep up the encouragement. The trick with this blitz I'm finding is keeping the build standard whilst trying for the quantity. That's the hard part not cutting (too many) corners. :-D

All the best.

A man simply can't build this many kits this quickly.
Do you have some Romanian orphans helping you? Or Santas elves (seeing as they aren't busy at present)?

I once heard someone say ''Never be afraid to try something stupid'' I think this blitz qualifies for that statement.
It's a case of time management. I know through the day I am going to be too busy for model making and I will have at most a couple of hours this evening to get things wound up. If I can get to a stage where I only have decalling to do then it's fair game that I will succeed. If I don't succeed then I gave it my best shot and I have at least (As it stands at the moment) two more finished builds.
Thanks for watching the build so far. Hope you enjoy the rest of it.

All the best.

But as another saying goes Greg "if it is stupid and works, then it is not stupid" and so far this mad blitz seems to be working well, sure youll get them done in time just got to keep an eye on the time :)

Wot!?!
No rigging?!?

You're making great progress Greg and seemingly on course for an impressive completion. Whatever happens, you've got another two under your belt.

Hi Greg, Just found this thread as I turned to my other projects after finishing the Huckebein yesterday and my attention (and kit building efforts) were directed elsewhere for a little while. Six kits??? WOW (and including a Matchbox Mystere IVa that has been on my wants list for some time  ) I almost opted for the Beechcraft myself but picked the Huckebein instead for my 4th build. an awe inspiring task, go for it Greg and lots of luck. Will check back in a little while. :wanw

Nope. No rigging. When I have mastered that fine art I'll rig biplanes etc but until then my build are sans needlework. I'm going to be busy today so I won't have much time for models until tonight.

All the best.

Ok Greg, you are now beginning to scare me. I am not worthy.

keep up the good work Greg, I like the idea of a white UN Salidin.

Peace keeping forces could be a good GB idea?

I have to go to work tonight and pics from Photobucket (et al) are all blocked, so I will have to catch up with the pics tomorrow.
Good luck, Greg!

Cheers for the Kudos and encouragement guys. I've done some decalling on the Spitfire and there's only some more stencilling to do and that's complete. Off to mowthe lawn.

All the best.

Hi Folks. Final pics are about to be taken. Did I finish all six?. Sorry. Had to can two of the builds. The UN Saladin still has a little work but I won't get it and the rest of the decals on in time. The Mystere IV still has some paint to do and the undercarriage to fit but the canopy has fogged and will have to come off so that kills that one from the game. Still, four completions is pretty good and I really did not expect to finish them all. This was an exercise in time management. Time unfortunately threw me a curve ball this evening. Ho well. It's all a learning curve after all. Pics to follow very soon.

All the best.
