I have been rather lax posting here. The Rafale' is painted and glossed and I will try to have photos up tonight. Underwing stores are ready for painting. I am keeping it simple with air to air missles and fuel tanks.

I think I am on a track to finish on time.

That's great Jeff. I look forward to the pictures. I've been rather lax on mine. Just too much going on but I hope to make some progress tonight.

Finally, a couple of shots. Ready to start decaling.

I have used HobbyBoss decals before and hope there will be few problems encountered.

Here is where I am at today. Most decals applied. I have to say that the technique I used works well with HobbyBoss decals. The carrier film is thin but stiff and will not settle very easily around curves. I used Future as a base. Applied decal and using a hairy stick washed over the decal with another coat of future and it settled them right down.

This shot doesn't show it really well but you can notice that the decal settles into the rivets and panel lines well.

There will be some light touching up with the hairy stick along the vertical stabilizer.

So it seems I have a couple of days to wrap this up. SWMBO is out with the ladies tonight. Daughter is at the homecoming game and dance so.............bench time.

Nice work Jeff. I think it is the decal stage that puts a lot of people off tigermeet schemes.

Let's see. No parts left in the box. All decals used for this version. I must be done.

I have to say that this HobbyBoss kit was great fun. Other than the lower portion of the intakes needing work, it fit very well. No complaints really and I would recommend this kit to all.

Time for some glamour shots.

Just wanted to add that I build the Spit Mk22 in the middle of this build along the new Airfix P51 which is mostly done now. I just could not wait any longer.

Such a beautiful scheme. Love the tail art and wing stripes! Great job.
