Close it. Close the drawer and never open it again!

Great progress and you've done a really neat job with those tail fin decals.
Nice to see a chuck it in drawer - could do with a bit more stuff in it though, it's still looking a bit too tidy

Re: Sissel's F-16AM and F-16BM
Thanks so much for the kind words, everyone. Makes me happy.
I managed to make some more progress this morning. Applied second paint coat on the bodies. All that needs before Klear on is small spots of paint here and there and black on the canopy frames.
Looking at the sidewinders, and thinking hmmm.. shouldn't they be hung to something, I realized I had forgotton their holders. I found the sprues with them, and noticed I had painted one, but not the other three. I also see I had painted it the wrong color, so out with the brush.
Next step was to start putting the decals on the armament, sigh. I hate doing that.
The notes are simply for me not forgetting which sides they will be on. Instructions doesn't say, but there are different space between the holes they go into, I noticed this after I had cut some off. Anyways, I think I have control now.
My only fair is an eventual glue mess on the paint when fixing the armament on. This has the be done after all decals are put on the aircrafts.
There is a LOT of small decals to go on the fuselage and wings and I will see if I bother to put them all on. There's lots, really.. lots. Did I say lots?
Don't you just love these little blue fellas? There is 12 of these to go on the AIMs, and then there's those on the sidewinders as well. Here I've put one on.
Here's the bench at the moment.
I bought Revell matt varnish as I thought it was good for brushing. But eh nope, my mistake. I tested it and it dries streaky. I wanted to try it as it was acrylic, but guess I should stick to enamels for varnishes. I should order some matt cote from Humbrol as I had before, nothing better for hand brushing. But I wanna finish these asap due to other commitments and holiday coming up, so I will either finish it with Klear or Humbrol satin varnish, not sure what would be most matt, perhaps the varnish?
Going out to play some chess now.. Will continue tomorrow.

Re: Sissel's F-16AM and F-16BM
Nicely done - did you say something about a lot of decals? Modern jets are covered with stencils and I often don't use all of them because applying them sends me crazy, but use just enough to make the airframe look "busy". I think matt varnish can dry streaky, or worse look white, if it hasn't been stirred well enough. Really give it a good stirring and a shake to make sure - even more than with paint IMHO.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Nice work on the decals.

Re: Sissel's F-16AM and F-16BM
Thanks guys.
Sorry bout lack of updates. Been very busy.
Have gotten to the decal stage, I'm almost halfway (counting all those I've decided not to bother with) and after 4 hours am tired of arealy tired of the job.
Armament went on nice underneath, they do looks pretty cool I think.
Almost made a mistake and added to much, hadn't checked real photos enough. But it's all good now, discovered just in time.
I see there are several things I'm not 100% happy with, but I wont bother to fix cause I need to get these done asap due to other commitments.
Already Tuesday, yikes.
Now foootball time

Re: Sissel's F-16AM and F-16BM
Okay, ready for the second decal session!
Good coffee and chocolate is always essential. I should have my own stock of chocolate bars in a drawer methinks.
Here's the underside. Didn't bother with too many decals here.
After the underside was done I had an accident. Dropped tweezers right onto the plane knocking the tail off, tiny decal damage but hardly visible.
Almost had a disaster with the first tiger markings (each side is ONE big decal). But tons and tons of microsol and careful pressing solved the ruggedy look of it.
And here is the finito F-16s. The paint job could have been better and some other details. Don't know why, but it was hard to take good pictures, tried with different light, sorry bout that!
I skipped a few 'no step lines' on the BM as I was afraid to mess up the tiger markings.
F-16 AM
F-16 BM
I enjoyed this group build a lot, and I must say I have never been so thorough with a model before. I've learned a few new things along the way.
Thanks to all of you who have been following me. Showing the build progress of a model would be boring without you guys feedback and friendly banter.
So thanks alot.

Those look really nice Sissel, I love those large tail decals. It looks like you're the first to finish in this GB, very well done.
