Re: Paul's Mirage build
I see little or no flash on the sprue shots. Seems like a good kit too.
I hope the positioning of the stripes on the tail wont be too hard.
Good luck!

Re: Paul's Mirage build
Correct. there is zero flash. the engraving is beautiful, especially on the wings. Looking forward to this build. The last Mirage i built was the 60's era Airfix kit,so this is gonna be EASY! lol
Re: Paul's Mirage build
Well i finally have batteries for the camers so here is my update. Got pretty far along so far,now time for putty and sanding.
Re: Paul's Mirage build
Lots of putty! It doesn't look like a lot of fun.

Great progress, Paul.
After a little filling and sanding I'm sure it'll look sweet.

Dassault certainly know how to make a good looking plane that's for sure. Looks to be a bit of sanding required here and some of that nice detail will probably bite the dust, which is always annoying. Might be worth carefully removing those fuselage spine antenna as well before the sanding starts and put them back on afterwards.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Howdy Paul.
I have this same kit but in the Italeri box. I'll be following your thread closely.

Way to go Paul. Nice work and effort.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale
Re: Paul's Mirage build
Well here is todays update.
I cannot wait till this kit is DONE! It has fought me every step so far.
Finally got two colors of paint on it (after stripping it). Let it dry, post shade, then the detail bits and decals.

Re: Paul's Mirage build
Seems to be a lot of overspray. You can use long snakes of blu-tac to prevent that.
