Re: Viking's "Chinese" Tiger
thanks for the comments guys, and Dirk, although it wasn't finished, thanks for the congratulations
once all the painting was finished and all the decals on, i highlighted the panel lines with an oil wash. picture shows how i do it; a dilute sienna wash (less stark than black), let it run through the lines using capilliary action, but also don't worry if it goes over the frame.
Rub gently with a dampened tissue in the direction on the airflow to remove. most of the colour will come off but will leave a subtle colour merge on the panels and a darkening of the panel lines.
spray with matt varnish, add the canopy and call it complete
i've loved building this; the decals were a joy to use and the kit scrubs up well despite some dodgy part fitting. I still need some 2000L drop tanks but will add them when i get some. the display aircraft did actually carry a Matra missile on one outboard pylon.
Now; syhart do a running boar decal scheme for the 2000N; must buy, must buy....

Excellent Viking, that is a fantastic scheme and nicely weathered too - interesting to see how you did that.
