thanks for the comments guys, and Dirk, although it wasn't finished, thanks for the congratulations :)

once all the painting was finished and all the decals on, i highlighted the panel lines with an oil wash. picture shows how i do it; a dilute sienna wash (less stark than black), let it run through the lines using capilliary action, but also don't worry if it goes over the frame.

Rub gently with a dampened tissue in the direction on the airflow to remove. most of the colour will come off but will leave a subtle colour merge on the panels and a darkening of the panel lines.

spray with matt varnish, add the canopy and call it complete :)

i've loved building this; the decals were a joy to use and the kit scrubs up well despite some dodgy part fitting. I still need some 2000L drop tanks but will add them when i get some. the display aircraft did actually carry a Matra missile on one outboard pylon.

Now; syhart do a running boar decal scheme for the 2000N; must buy, must buy....
Completed: not counting. Bought: trying not to let Mrs Viking count

Lovely finish, and thanks for the weathering tip. I bought some oil's recently but have been to afraid to use them. :oops:
