That looks great Splash. How did you tame the overspray - high or low pressure?

I'm really impressed Splash!

Thin the paint and lower the pressure.

The thinner the paint the lower you can reduce the pressure and the less chance of over spray. The trick is practice, practice followed by more practice, but once you have mastered it, it's a great feeling and makes it all worth while.

One trick I use, when you finish spaying and you have that last bit of paint in the air brush, practice your squigals and control on a scrap pice of card or an old dest kit.

Thanks for that, I agree practice is the key, not just with operating the airbrush but also with regard to mixing the paint. I often get inconsistent results with overspray and usually mask to avoid it, which is OK for some schemes such as RAF hard edged camo but for other stuff such as mottling and the scheme you have done here, freehand is the way to go.

Shaun I like to use Tamiya paints thinned with their own thinners, when I open a new bottle of paint I top it up to just below the brim with thinners then give it a good stir, this works for me.

If i'm going to free hand I thin it quite a bit more.

I'm not normally the type of guy who spends time putting detail into a cockpit that you can't see through the canopy, but this time I thought the ejection seats on this kit are good enough to justify spending a little time on and adding some straps

It's small details like that which will make a difference. Next time I'm making an aircraft with no pilot I will use tape for belts as well, never done it. I also wonder if you can use ordinary tac for ejection handles?

Looks ace, Splash!

I have just added some decals and given it an oil wash to bring out the panel lines

That's really an excellent looking model Splash!

It deserves the extra detail you put on the seats ;-) .
