Gregs piratical pussycat.

Post by Gregers »

One Tigger striped Corsair from the Hobbyboss kit. It looks like it will be a cool build. Pics to follow soon but a little about the model. For the price you pay for the kit you could easily spend the same amount on an after-market decal sheet, plus you get quite a few bombs and stuff that are not used so will be useful for the spares box. All in all this kit is a bargain. I'm going to pick up another soon but it will be the two seater version to do a Portuguese one.

All the best.

Right ho. I am making a start on this one tonight. The better half is out with her friends and I have a few hours spare so first off I am going to close off the opened equipment bays and start the cockpit. Pics to follow.

All the best.

Well. A start has been made. The fuselage is together and the wings are on. Thoughts on the build so far. either I got a bad one, I've messed up somewhere (And I have double checked what I have done so it isn't that) or the fit is a bit rubbish. Gaps on the fuselage seam and the wing/fuselage joint. I had wanted to get the airframe fully assembled tonight but that isn't going to happen I don't think as I have to leave it to set fully before I go on (No Blitz build this one) Pics following in a few mins, I need to upload them to photobucket).

All the best.

OK. It's not my day today. Firstly things are not working right with the build. Secondly the pics I took are totally useless. Too blurred to use except for three of them so no sprue shots I'm afraid. Here are the usable ones though.

Closed off port equipment bay. Starboard done likewise.

I had similar issues with mine Greg. Spent most of the night filling in the gaps with Squadron Putty. What a pain

It's nice to see some action here Greg although it sounds like you've had a bad day - time for a beer break methinks
