Here is another update, it must be obvious by now I know nothing about subs but I must say it looks like a well detailed kit.

It looks good to me. I think there's something to be said about building a subject you don't know much about. It seems to take away the intensity of making sure everything is right, or the right colour. The mystery comes back a little.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

I didn't realize until now, that the AA guns were enclosed in turrets -- remote firing ?.

Interesting kit! Looks like there is plenty of scope for adding scratchbuilt detail as well if you were so minded although I guess references may be hard to come by.
Keep up the good work KP
Best wishes

That boat looks impressive. I must admit - I NEVER did finish ANY boat or ship kit, started a couple ones, but they all ended in the bin one day, half or 2/3 built....

So it appears this thing had 6 tubes, represented at the foremost bulkhead, but the model only has long tubes and doors for the middle set ? Now does that rack holding the torps rotate (like a revolver) to enable quicker loading ? Very interesting set up.

No they just only supply 2 tubes (Don't even know why they do that as when I put the side on you won't see them.

I'm thinking of going back to my scratch building, maybe going back to what I know will boost my kit builds.
