Dragon 1/700 HMS Illustrious - All at Sea!
I made HMS Illustrious for my brother in-law who served on her. The base is a scrap piece of chipboard and the sea is the cheapest decorators filler I could get from my local DIY store (B&Q in the UK) painted with the cheapest acrylic paint I could find. Anyway here are a few photo's.
Here is one to give you an idea of the scale.

The water is very real looking. And the model is well done also !

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Great looking display. Your seascape came out very well.

Excellent! Very impressive setting for an impressive build
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Very nice build. You've captured the sea perfectly, it even feels cold!

Excellent model and great work with the base - just goes to show it doesn't need expensive materials to produce something that looks realistic. As a Yorkshireman I appreciate cheap - I'm far too tight to pay out for those expensive ready mixed washes etc

Brilliant model and a brilliant sea effect on the base.

Nicely built and posed. Illustrious was my youngest Son's ship until he left the Navy. I have the Airfix one to do.
I like the use of black wash to highlight the details.

So many models, so little time.

Great seascape to go with it
All models are equal. Some models are more equal than others.
