Things that float don't normally rock my boat, but having already built the RAF Rescue boat and S-Boat, the Vosper MTB seemed appropriate. The cost of £2.50 in a charity shop made it a complete no-brainer.
I found it quite a frustrating kit to build. The instruction diagrams often left me floundering as to what went where. I completely failed to match some pieces on the sprues to pieces on the diagrams. Getting the figures to stand behind the guns was impossible - there was not enough room. But to be fair, it is quite an old kit and the end result looks good enough for me.

I like that a lot!
I've always had a soft spot for this kit and have two to build at some point; I just hope I can do them as well as you have, and the base too!

The best one I have seen is on the Britmodeller site at this address. I found the build to be enormously helpful, though capturing the quality was quite daunting.

That is nice, the flag locker in particular. The dozen (or less) 50-cal rounds hanging off the .50's spoil it a bit, there are ammo boxes you know ....

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

I built one of these in the '70's as a yoof. Needless to say, it didn't look anywhere near as good as yours and that seascape really sets it off nicely.
Mr Britmodeller's is very good but doesn't look as nice plonked on stands as opposed to your seascape. Also I have to agree with John re the .50 cal belt - would the RN really have them flapping about like that instead of using an ammo box fixed to the mount?

Looks great and the nice base really sets it off.

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.
