A Japanese collectible at 1/1200 scale or thereabouts. It just qualifies as a kit having four parts!
The hull parts and superstructure are hard plastic and prepainted.
The mast is a very soft plastic which means it is very damage-resistant. This would be good for wargaming where the model would be handled a lot. It still has a lot of fine detail on it.
The disruptive camouflage was painted in Vallejo Air White-Grey (which is actually a bit more cream coloured than I would like), Light Grey, Dark Sea Grey and a very Dark Grey mixed from 3 parts Black to 1 part DSG. In real life this is black, but it would overpower the other colours in this scale.
The decks have been given a sepia wash and the flight deck netting given a dark wash.
The windows were painted in black using a toothpick, and the mast was given a black wash to pull out the fine detail.
I will be putting this on a seascape base eventually.

Very nicely done Andrew and what a change to many ship kits which seem to contain a myriad of parts spread over several sprue trees and provide much food for the carpet monster. That is a great looking vessel and a seascape will set it off nicely.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

I am now at the Jackson Pollack stage of doing a seascape. I may suffer because of my art

Here's my first attempt at a seascape. An old CD with green and blue acrylic paint, followed by a smear of some wave making stuff (glorified PVA I suspect).
The white bits are not quite dry yet.
