Gunboats

If it goes on or under the wet stuff and doesn't fly, it's in here.

Gunboats

Post by Kevan Bailey »

Hello there, boat fans.

Can anyone think of a Colonial era gunboat kit, nationality unimportant, scale as large as possible? Just been doing twelve rounds with the old Airfix schnellboot from the bottom of my stash pile (don't think I've ever filed off so much plastic!) and got to wondering whether anyone made anything like the Gannet at Chatham Dockyard. I rarely build ships and I don't really know where to start looking.

Thanks in anticipation.

Wooden? I've got an Artesenia Latina pilot boat that I started in 1983! Just can't get on with them, although I've done a couple of OcCre trams for the garden railway.

Sounds like a no-go, then.
