Hey All
Here is my go at the Airfix 1/72 Vosper MTB. It was an enjoyable build, although I had some problems with the seams around the stern and the deckhouse. Also I had to ream out the torpedo tubes to get the torpedoes to fit.
I mentioned in a previous post that I suffer from chronic UMS (Unfinished Model Syndrome) whereby I complete 99% of a model and then just don't seem to finish it off. This is a good example of my UMS in effect. It still needs the portholes glazing (guess who forgot to fir the transparencies before gluing the deck in place  ), the anchor needs some scale rope (chain?) attached, and I attached some thread to the signal flags but haven't put them in place. I did part-paint the crew but finishing them may be a step too far :-D
Anyway, it's been like this for a couple of years so, as it may never be completely finished, I thought I might as well put it up on the site as it is. Hope you like it.
Cheers
Simon

That's very smart Simon! Always a favourite of mine and a charismatic model.
Try some thinned pva glue spread over the portholes to glaze them

Nicely finished, Simon; a very neat paint job.
My take on ship figures - a full-hull model ship on a stand doesn't need them, while a waterline model on a sea base does. To me, its a question of realism. So, in this case, I'd say leave the figures off.
If I may be so bold as to make a suggestion - you may wish to replace the string used for rigging with some thinner nylon thread that is more to scale. That would really make this model pop.

Smashing model Simon. Very neatly finished.
And if I could throw in my two pence worth, following on from Paul's comments, EZ Line is brilliant stuff for rigging in this scale.

Very good - construction and paint looks quite good.
I agree with prior comments that the rigging thread is a bit thick. You might try a thinner thread, perhaps a mid to dark grey color, and then pull it through some beeswax to get rid of the fuzzies and protect it from humidity. The nylon or EZ-line suggestions are good also.

As above, a tidy build of a kit that is a bit of a favourite of mine as well.

Nice. I built the Vosper MTB as a kid. The Vosper in my stash was sold some years ago. Seeing your Vosper I regret that now.

Really terrific build. Nice work.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale
Re: Airfix 1/72 Vosper MTB
Very shipshape and Bristol fashion, well tidy.
