HMS Plymouth
This is my conversion of HMS Plymouth using the Frog 1/500 HMS Torquay as the base kit. The PE used was the excellent set from Atlantic Models designed for the Torquay, the rest of the conversion is scratch built.

Excellent. You're tempting me to the dark side (ship models).

Re: HMS Plymouth
That is an astounding build, really really good!
It reminds me of the model that used to be in the RN recruitment office in Reading when I joined up

Thanks for the comments chaps, this was one of my most enjoyable builds and a great introduction to using PE.
I'm now fully converted to building ships.

Glad to see you come over to the waterside.
This does indeed look nice. The base sets it off well.

You ships are definitely going to attract some interest from the warship builders!

Re: HMS Plymouth
Another one that I was able to admire in the flesh at SMW. I think Paul has already told you but this model attracted the interest of a couple of ex-sailors who had served on board Plymouth. They would have bought it there and then!
