Bit different to say the least. Surprised the subject has been kitted in plastic

That's a wonderful build and of a subject (early battleships) that really has caught my fancy. While I enjoy building aircraft models, I have to admit to getting a little board doing so. One of the guys on the old forum I belonged to got me started building ship models again. The reason for this (long) story is that I have, so far, built four ship models. Two are 1/700 scale WWII ships. The other two are the 1/600 Iron Duke build I recently posted and an odd 1/250 short-run Victorian torpedo ram. Of these (including the many 1/700 ship kits in my stash I now have), I enjoyed building the early dreadnought / iron clad ships the most. I find them so interesting with the various armaments that they were experimenting with.

Thanks for posting your build.

Yes, Propwash, I agree - there is some character to those ships around the turn-of-century and I have a number of 1/700 kits thereof.

James made an astute observation about the rarity of something like the Danton being kitted in styrene. Maybe there is hope for more.
