Hi all well here's one I shelved back in 2015 (can't remember why) Airfix goth the colour totally wrong they would have you paint it blue and gold (other than the transom theres very little gold on her, although she is very colourful mainly red though and vert little blue) ( actually i love the airfix colour scheme but that was not right) other than a few few small things it's a great little kit. it's been resurrected I've redone the woodwork, I figure if the Hermann Marwede is going to be in a seascape i may as well tag this one in with it.

The transom paintwork looks very impressive.

These big sailing ship models always impress but intimidate me.

For those who don't know the history of this ship she sank on her maiden voyage king Louis insisted on a public display of his new ship of the line before it had been tested the death toll was said to be 350 souls but was in fact much higher as all the carpenters and sail makers families were invited for it's maiden voyage (children included) and of course they all died too the cause of it's sinking was the lower gun ports were open (in order to do a salute to the king on it's passing of the port) unfortunately the sea flooded in through the open ports and the ship sank.
That is what I am trying to depict here.

One day I need to tackle something like this! I have the 1/180 (?) Airfix Victory in the stash but my eyes seem to skim over it whenever I'm stash-surfing looking for a next build!
Looking really good KP

The victory is a difficult build (I found it the most difficult and I've built all of them) that said it is a good looking completed kit
