Nice work - especially on Suffolk's camouflage. (Happily, for my cardstock models of them, Norfolk's and Dorsetshire's are far simpler.)
Anyone: How does this set kit seem to be selling?

Re: Airfix 1/1200 Waterline 'Sink The Bismarck' (A50120)
I made a start on my set on Tuesday as I want to make a new hull for the Bismarck. The subject of the set is the worst of the lot with nearly all the assembly dimensions being wrong. A new hull and deck will make a large improvement. When I have the new hull complete, I will make a master and cast some new resin hulls. Let me know if you need one and I'll make a list. I'll only charge for materials, so it should only be about £2.50 - £3.00.
Progress to date . . . . .
Major superstructure parts cut out from decking part of kit. I need to reduce the height of these by 1.5 mm and tidy them up. I'll add a little detail a I go. The complete waterline hull and superstructure will be a one piece moulding. The rest of the detail parts are perfectly OK and will be added to the new hull assembly. The catapult needs to be carefully positioned and the curves section astern of it needs reshaping to match the photographs. The catapult was extended when launching the seaplanes, so it would overhang the sides of the ship.
New deck and reshaped bow. The deck needs to have the planking doubled. I was waiting for some nice daylight before I added thi to the guidelines I had already scribed. The bow deck section is usable and has been trimmed already. Once the deck has been attached to the new hull base, I will shape the bow to suit.

There seems to be a few gone from the shelves at the two LMSs.Anyone: How does this set kit seem to be selling?
So many models, so little time.

Re: Airfix 1/1200 Waterline 'Sink The Bismarck' (A50120)
I made a start on the other ships in the set last night and found that they need a bit of attention to assemble neatly. Bismarck's new hull is still underway before I mould it.
Hood and Suffolk both needed some work to the hull at the bow to get the correct profile. Bismarck will need a lot more work than these two. The Tribals just need a little shaping to get a more streamlined and low shape. Prinz Eugen is pretty well OK and I can't see much required in the way of corrections.
Ark Royal is mainly assembled and I've added a little extra detail at bow and stern to fill the spaces while leaving the correct See Through look. I'm not sure about the deck colour though. I reckon it should be grey. Bismarck also appeared to have a grey deck in photos that I've seen.

Modified hulls on two of the models.
The grey forward deck was the only bit I could salvage from the Bismarck.
