Some heathens refer to her as Merrimac, but the sons of the south called her Virginia!

Built her as a boy, restored a few years ago. ;-)

Very very cool. I have a thing for the ole Ironclads. I always felt that was the most interesting part and mostly untold story of the war. Was that a kit or scratch built?

It was a kit from life like, it also had the monitor, lord knows what became of that!

In the restoraion i made the davits from streched sprue, and life boats from the spares box.
