ORP Metalowiec 1/400 by Mirage Hobby

If it goes on or under the wet stuff and doesn't fly, it's in here.

Thanks for the pix ! I was trying to match that to the box art and gather the big screen thing is a radar, and I also gather that you basically hand-made the towers and yard arms from various bits of photo-etch and wire ! Well done ! I wouldn't even try at that scale.

Cheers John,
jRatz wrote:I was trying to match that to the box art
Does it resemble the box art, thats the true question? :ha:

I am trying to be more acurate with this model than my previous ones!

Yes it took some time and trial and error but I think it looks pretty good(from a distance! :ha: ) but new skills are always needed as PE isnt provided for every model. In 1/400 its been pretty fun to make the mast but in 1/600 or 1/700  not a bloody chance in hell!

I hope to get some more cracked today, I made my list of things to do last night so we might see some more progress before the days end........hopefully! :ha:

Regards

Justin

Wow, I hadn't appreciated how small this model is - the Tamiya paint bottle certainly puts it into perspective! well done with the mast work - are you using a microscope?

Carefully knocking on the door. Anybody home? :)
Have you managed to squeeze in some time to work on this little gem?

Hi everyone,

Sorry I have had a really busy year with house moves, job changes and two twin girls who are a now a year old! Everything seems to have settled down (I hope) so have managed to get some time to continue the forgotten projects a couple of weeks ago, then I remembered about this lovely place and how I have negeleted to take any pics, post progress or apologise for letting life get in the way of my hobby and involvement in this forum!!!!!!!

I will be taking some pics tomorrow so will update this and the workbench and start a new project thread hopefully.

And thank you to Marek and Sissel for the continued interest! I hope you like the finished product!

Justin

Justin!!!!

I'm happy to hear things are going well, and the two little princesses as well. Ah, bless. You've been very busy with lots of stuff from the sounds of it. And before you know it, you will be chasing boys away. :ha:
Real life is always more important. But glad you found your way back here, you have been missed, buddy.

Hi all,

Well I promised pics so here goes, not my best finish ever but it got trashed during a house move so some repair was needed. I don't get it, last model finished and only one to be trashed!

I hope you enjoy.

I think that is a great bit of building and I can't tell it's been repaired.
Great work!
