USS Mississippi, BB23 1911 in 1/700 scale

If it goes on or under the wet stuff and doesn't fly, it's in here.

USS Mississippi, BB23 1911 in 1/700 scale

Post by Chuck Finley »

The USS Mississippi was commissioned on 1 February 1908 and stayed in service for only 5 years before being sold to Greece in 1914 along with her sister for $12 million. She was later sunk by the Germans in 1941. The model is a Samek resin kit from Pacific Coast Models.

On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

Is that a Niko kit ? I have the Niko BB-20 Vermont but not built it - I'm going to use the cage masks from it to up-date the Combrig Kansas to the GWF tour.

Go for it. As the schools in the Atlanta area are closed tomorrow for winter weather, I plan on spending my cabin time working on the USS Delaware I received for Christmas. :)

Ooh, the Delaware! The first generation US Navy battleships were an interesting breed, for sure.

I've got Delaware also, on a whim, because I was born there.
I'm doing Kansas because that's where I've always called "home", at least until I retired to NC.
