Airfix 1/600 HMS Belfast

If it goes on or under the wet stuff and doesn't fly, it's in here.

Airfix 1/600 HMS Belfast

Post by Sissel »

A ship started back in early January. It was put aside due to GBs, blitzbaus and other subjects.

It is not my best ship model. Simply because I've lost patience with it. And instead of putting it aside again, I forced a 'quick' finish on it.
Couldn't be bothered with some details and small stuff I'd liked to have fixed. (Not much visible anyway...). That said, and given some real life circumstances, I am sort of pleased with result.

Took the pics tonight, so no daylight natural color look I'm afraid. Played around with different light settings, but then the headache came, so I stopped.

Really clean and nice looking!

Great blue setup too, where do you get sheets of blue for photos?

Thanks guys.

I bought some sheets in a book store that also sells stuff for decorating etc. I wish they were bigger. I'm gonna have to use two sheets for my 1/570 Scharnhorst for instance.

I like it, seems to be quite a bit of detail painting going on - wish we had some close-ups ....

I will mention the poor Walrus is missing its roundels :) ... probably didn't rig it either, did you

Here's the reason for that (from first post):

Plus I lost the decal sheet (if there was one?), and wouldn't bother painting. ;-)
