USS Delaware, BB-28 1914 in 1/700th scale

If it goes on or under the wet stuff and doesn't fly, it's in here.

USS Delaware, BB-28 1914 in 1/700th scale

Post by Chuck Finley »

The Delaware belonged to the second class of American dreadnoughts. She and her sister North Dakota were faster than the earlier Michigans and had a heavier broadside of ten 12" 50 cal in five twin turrets. This model is another limited edition by Samek and can be obtained from Pacific Front Hobbies. The ship was painted with WEM Slate Grey (War Color) on vertical surfaces steel decks. In addition, teak was used for the wood decks.

On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

Very nice. There's something very stately about those earlier battleships.

Thanks. Samek was thoughtful enough to provide a cone to shape the mast. If only other manufacturers would do the same.

Looking very spic and span Chuck.
The deck looks particularly good.
