That's looking great.

Hope you get it finished, it would be a shame to come this far and not get her done

Cool Slash! I must try that with the turret, moulding even I might have a go at! The new prop looks much better too.

Thanks Dirk it’s not one of my best, but at only £7.50 in total for the kit and VW Nose conversion it was real value for money and a really enjoyable introduction to resin conversions.

I did very little in the way of trying to fix the faults of the kit and only use resources found on this GB, the problem now is having seen those lovely ASR versions built by others in the GB, plus all those target tug conversions, I’m now seriously looking at getting some more to build in slow time.

As I only had two hours left last night before the GB ended I cheated and used the prop/spinner off another hit, I will now probably pull it off and use the resin spinner supplied with the VW conversion, I think the kit needs some weathering as well plus the aerial needs to be attached.

Thank you to everyone for your support/hits/tips and resources it has been a great GB.

Regards

If memory serves me right and I'm sure there are many that can correct me if I'm wrong but the aerials were only deployed in flight so I don't think you have to worry about it. At least that was my belief and part of the reason I was putting mine in flight.

A smart finish there Splash, good save with the Spitfire prop, I used the blades from the same kit for my Defiant. Great to know that you want to build a few more, I'm quite tempted by a target tug myself, maybe in the new year.
