Alouette gentille Alouette III *FINISHED*

Our 3rd helicopter GB .... odd for a Forum that favors airplanes that actually fly and not those gangly objects that must instead be flown ....

Today I continued with the floAtation bags.

In the kit you can find something like this, as is the case with me, I have another Alouette which will serve as spareparts source for something else, so I could snatch that piece as well

Image

Trimmed them

Image

Used some leftovers

Image

And I think the airframe is about 80% ready

Image

Just need to add some little stuff and it well be ready for the paintshop.

And I finished my Alouette III today.
Everything went as planned on this one, no glitches, nothing.
A breeze to build.

I assembled everything before painting

Image

Sprayed some navy blue

Image

Removed the paintmasks

Image

And prepared for decals

Image

And final assembly and photos

Must say, it was a splendid GB.
Should I build another?

That's come together very quickly and looks very spiffing. Will make a lovely pair with the Seabat.

Very pretty helo that is Did and well done on yet another finish. I hope you decide to build that classic Airfix Puma mentioned in the chat thread. Great stuff!

Oh yes, they look great together, the Wessex/Choctaw is a surprisingly large chopper.

I remember a liqueur store here, had one in their car park as advertising for a while (don't ask me what the thinking or link there is between the two, not obvious to me), and I stunned by how huge it was.
