A good choice, I nearly went for it but wanted an easier win  Bit of challenge to bring up to scratch but it means we get to see you weave your magic.

I think Airfix made the kit with rotors that turn the same way on both heads, so the blades would have just smashed together?

It was a long time ago when I built it.

Don't know about magic James but I am certainly going to have to hit the ground running with this one.

Thanks for the heads up about the rotors Splash, an easy fix but something I had not previously been aware of.

Good luck with this one Martin. A classic kit and I look forward to your efforts with it - but I'll bet it won't be easy

Well, the kit arrived while I was at work. It is an early example with the old "locate and cement" written instructions. This is good. What is not so good is the fact that my Belvedere file has goner walkabout and along with it the carefully stored Scale Aircraft Modelling article of producing a production version of the Belvedere. Can anyone help out here in case the file does not show up before Monday?

Thanks Andrew that helps a bit. If all else fails it will have to be done as the prototype as depicted in the kit. A second thorough search convinces me that I have probably lent the file to someone and forgot to ask for it back, trouble is I forget who. Must be a sign of my advancing years.
