Re: Martin's Belvedere
I have managed to break the back of doing the stringers today and it does make a big difference. I should get the rest done tomorrow and will post a couple of pictures then.

Re: Martin's Belvedere
I suspect that if you don't put those stringers in, you'll wish you had. Shouldn't take too long. (as long as you only add them to areas where they can actually be seen.)

Re: Martin's Belvedere
As promised here are the pictures of the fuselage with the stringers added. I still have the starboard side ones to add but they shouldn't take too long as there only about half as many of them to do.

Re: Martin's Belvedere
The stringers have made all the difference Martin and I think the interior looks much more complete now. You were right to go for it.

Thanks Guys, I think I can afford to spend a few more days getting the interior right as, especially with my plan B of doing an early production Belvedere if I run short on time, I think I can crack on quite quickly once the fuselage halves are together.

"crack on" and "fuselages halves" are generally not phrases modellers would wish to get too acquainted with each other...martin hale wrote:Thanks Guys, I think I can afford to spend a few more days getting the interior right as, especially with my plan B of doing an early production Belvedere if I run short on time, I think I can crack on quite quickly once the fuselage halves are together.

Re: Martin's Belvedere
I finished getting the stringers on the strarboard side done this morning. This afternoon I hope to find where I put the spare trooping seats and get them adapted to fit the fuselage. I also hope to get the transmission shaft sorted out.

Re: Martin's Belvedere
Looking good Martin. Hopefully you will find the seats and once installed I think the interior will look nicely busy.

Re: Martin's Belvedere
Thanks Shaun, it I can find a couple of stretchers I might add them as well. In my indecision as to which configuration to build my Belvedere, I rather stupidly bought another kit today. Like one of these kits isn't enough work!

Re: Martin's Belvedere
That's OK Martin, I was aware that one or two of you in this build were also doing projects for Telford. Talking of which, I need to get a move on and re-join the IPMS as I'd like to go down there this year and the free entry and ability to actually get in the place earlier is tempting me mightily. Plus there are other benefits to IPMS membership such as the magazine that I always enjoyed when I was a member a few years ago.

Very nice work Martin. I will bookmark this thread for future.
