AndrewR's Italeri Apache Longbow in 1/72 **Repaired***

Our 3rd helicopter GB .... odd for a Forum that favors airplanes that actually fly and not those gangly objects that must instead be flown ....
Runs October 15th to November 30th.

I for one will attempt to do some modelling tonight - the clients can take to the hills for once. It'll do them good to forage for food in the cold
The thought of 200 of my first year Engineering students heading to the hills to forage is, quite frankly, terrifying.

I actually managed to stick most of the bits back together this afternoon, after my neck stretching physiotherapy. (I'm becoming a giraffe  ) I think it will fit together reasonably well. I may need to replace a couple of bits on the chin turret mount. I'll look at some photos later.

We had another "getting up at 4 am" episode last night, so I am not as fresh as the proverbial daisy. :)

Cheers

Andrew

Well I've put it all back together.

Although I stilll think the chin might need a little work on it.

I've painted over all of the bare plastic with a bit of US Olive Drab.

We'll see how it looks in daylight! I was too tired to do anything more demanding...

cheers

Great save sir - very well repaired, a great relief to your GBL who thought that one of his choppers might end up being missing
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!

Thanks chaps, it was actually not as bad as it looked at first, although I'm still not sure about the nose...

Thanks chaps, it was a fun GB, although I wish the kit had had some resemblance to the real thing! :)
