Nice one Chip, she's coming together well. The digital camera, particularly in macro mode, is not always the modeller's best friend

Quite a step you have in that fuselage seam. You are handling it very well. What a beastie.

Nice work Chip,

The pilots are very crisp,

Things are moving on quite nicely, and it is almost ready for priming:

I have made another couple of changes:

Replaced the thick plastic step with a piece of thin metal rod.

Replaced the thick plastic support with another piece of thin metal rod.

I still need to add a few minor pieces to it and build up the ordnance and it will be paint time. Wooho.

Nice work, nice little additions. I'm liking this, though I keep thinking, it's like a blind date your mate sets up, he has the Apcahe and you end up with her ugly sister...

Been there and done that. ;-)

I have finally got a coat of primer on:

and also painted the underside blue. After many, many hours of studying the Dragon Painting Instructions, I have put them to one side and decided to use research from the web, and a bit of artistic license to paint Mutley.

A great thing about models is that you can really appreciate the shape of a/c more than from a photo. That's a cool looking beast!

So very true, James.

Whilst I will not agree that this is an ugly sister, I am all too aware of who would be the potential mother-in-law and she most certainly is not pretty!

Started to get a bit of colour on her, just need a bit of Dark Earth for contrast and she will be ready for her finishing touches.

Camo's looking good Chip. I think the terms "purposeful" or "beautifully ugly" might suit this one
