That's a nice interior, I hope it can be seen through the windows!

Cheers

Great work. I think there is a enough glazing in helos that it's worth putting in the effort, far more than fixed wing aircraft.

I picked up a cheap Airfix Draken on eBay the other day, which came with a pilot who looks suitable - no oxygen mask on, and a jaunty little wave (I think he's supposed to be holding a joystick) Unfortuately, his legs are welded together and possibly too bent so I may have to do a bit of surgery...

I think I can picture the style of Airfix pilot that you're referring to Brickie. The hand always seemed too high to me to hold the joystick and the pose does look more like a wave. Surgery to cut open the legs might be difficult as they are in a single block IIRC.

Slight hiccup - our router has died so I'm off the 'net at home until Sky send me a new one.

I've finished putting the cabin together and am now pondering how to make it fit between the two halves of the fuselage which don't *quite* meet in the middle once it's in there. Bit of sanding needed, just working out exactly where.

And no, you really can't see that much through the windows. Ah well, *I* know it's there...

Thick glazing can be a curse or a blessing Brickie, depending upon the quality of what's underneath  Hopefully Sky will get their act together quickly for you.

The crud on the windows is Klear, by the way. Just refused to wick off and kept pooling...

Then too much was applied in the first place. Apparently, when it was cheap and readily available, we all had a tendency to slap it on regardless, rather than treat it as we would an acrylic paint. Occasionally, I still relapse and have the problem you experienced.
When it's on too thick, it also has a tendency to act as a magnet for every local (and not-so-local) speck of dust.

Yeah, it's not bad so far. Revell do loads of versions of the same thing - there's police, general civil, military and so on. Would probably work better in a larger scale so the detailed interior could be more detailed, but otherwise a nice little runner.

I was thinking that too Brickie - the OOB interior does look half decent and it would be nicer still scaled up to 1/48th.

And it was going so well...

Here's the fuselage out of paintshop. Had a devil of a time getting that Tamiya "Camel Yellow" to cover evenly.

And then I unmasked and...

Once hung from the ceiling, will be invisible but still bloody annoying. It's actually seeped *under* the window at the top there - it must have not quite been sealed.
