mightymikeD's KASKR-2 ***IS FINISH!***

Our 3rd helicopter GB .... odd for a Forum that favors airplanes that actually fly and not those gangly objects that must instead be flown ....
Runs October 15th to November 30th.

Sorry in an attempt to delete duplicated posts I seems to have deleted both, or maybe some else was modding at the same time. Any way from my browser cache here's Mike's post:

Anyway great build Mike, I know it was a tough build but the finished model looks lovely.

thanks, mate. I'm pleased with it.. for all the typical short-run flaws that the AModel kits showed, the subject matter is interesting enough to justify the effort. I wouldn't care to repeat the experience but I'm glad I built my pair of Autogyros and they occupy a prominent position among my completed models.

Very very cool Mike, they look so delicate, like they'll blow away...

Thanks Jim... I have to admit, I half expect them to lift off in a strong breeze.. there's something really touching about them: men striving to push the known boundaries of aviation creating these weird hybrid machines that are all about lift..

At last, the autogyros! great stuff Mike and they do look delicate - I'm not wholly certain that I'd go up for a flight in the real thing. I'm glad that you enjoyed your first GB experience and it was good to have you along. You are also the recipient of my 2000th post as a bonus - which goes to show that perhaps I need to get out more
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Well done Mike it looks great. I'm tempted to look out for one of those as they look a challenging but fun build.

Those are both very nice and very unusual. Great looking kits!
