Re: Previously built Sea Furys
To begin with here are two models built head to head for my Workshop Window page, to make the comparison fairer I finished both models in the same markings.

The Frog/Novo kit, still quite clean and almost flash free with a little light cleaning it builds very well and looks quite good for its age and is a little basic but it does scrub up well despite some faults and will still hold its own on a shelf alongside newer kits. It can also be finished with the wings folded if you so wish.
The Airfix/PM kit, far newer and quite neat, it almost builds itself, it also has a few minor but easily correctable faults, it is nicely detailed, is available in three versions as a PM boxing and can be easily improved. There is also a good assortment of aftermarket goodies designed for this tooling.
Next up is an Airfix boxing of the PM kits FB.11 model finished using markings from the old Esci Korean War decal sheet as Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 VR 943 of 801 sqdn FAA, HMS Glory, 1951 .

Special Hobby 1/72 Hawker Sea Fury. I don't know if anyone is doing this kit but I think it pretty nice and is a good representation of the aircraft for those wanting something more accurate than the PM kit.
