Re: Sign-up and Chat
Hi folks, here we are with just days to go. Everyone who posted on the previous thread has been PM'd to tell them the GB forum is active so all that remains is to say hello here and post your separate build threads as you come on board.
everyone else who wishes to join in is most welcome so don't be shy, roll up and sign in, lets make this a cracking good GB.
David.

I'm here, with the Miniwings 1/144 kit, but I'll probably start a few days late.

Re: Sign-up and Chat- for tommorow we begin.
We start tomorrow so if you want to join in before the start date you only have until midnight otherwise you will be late- and will still be most welcome to join in. There are a number of kits on sale out there, the PM model is quite cheap and fairly accurate and the Airfix boxing has really good decals.

Never heard of a Matchbox Sea fury T54- could you mean this T-20 kit?Saxon wrote:Signing up with Matchbox Sea Fury T54 which I am hoping to win on Ebay, if that falls through I will go with PM sea Fury

This was one of a number of models once marketed in the Matchbox name by Revell when they first bought the Matchbox name and tools, it is actually a reboxed PM kit that is still available for three quid so don't bid too much for this, although the Revell decals could very well be better than the current PM ones but I can't swear to this as I myself have never actually seen or owned this Revell boxing.

And the kit I am looking at on Ebay is at the moment only $5 Australian so all good there too! In fact I just found a PM one for $0.99 and a cheap T.61 as well so have made bids on both.

They sound like bargain buys Saxon, good luck on all of them. Will watch the Matchbox build with interest as I have not seen inside this kit before. We do have six weeks in this GB so there is plenty of time to build all those should you win all three auctions.

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.
Re: Sign-up and Chat- for tomorrow we build !
Go on then, I'll pitch in with a PM single seater and a Matchbox (ex-PM) T.20 trainer, which fits in with my current trainer fetish. I'll open a thread after breakfast.

Bruce
