Tim's Aussie Fury ***Finished***

Post by TimJ »

I'll be building the Airfix Sea Fury in RAN markings from Xtradecal sheet X72074.

The usual preliminary shots of box, sprues and instructions.

The decal sheet. I'll be building the blue one as a change from EDSG/Sky.

Having recently built one of these I should be able to finish this one in time (for a change  ).

Better late than never. I made a start a couple of days ago and this is where I am at the moment.

After filling and sanding I got a coat of primer on last night.

This evening I gave it a coat of Oxford Blue.

There are a few areas that need touching up but I'm hoping to get it finished over the weekend.

After a few coats of Klear I got the decals on over the weekend. Since then the undercarriage and canopy have been added.

The blue will need some touching up before a final coat of varnish and the fitting of the prop.

I finished it yesterday but the battery in my camera died so the photos are a day late.

Looks good Tim, that colour is a refreshing change from Grey & Sky.

Thanks for the comments, the blue does make a change from Grey and Sky. It's been a novelty to actually get a GB finished this year, let alone on time.
