Must be a desert scheme with butter and maple syrup...

Sadly, the Spit on skis was a XIV...

TZ138 in Canada, post war. They used Tiger Moth skis I think.

Sorry for the breakdown guys. Number two daughter stopped in for a visit and that does not happen often enough. Anyway, visits from my daughters override everything else.

So when I stopped yesterday afternoon I was here. Primer in Ocean Gray. Today, after moving a little snow at Jeff's Heavy Industries, I will finish things up and await the Royal Mail was it were.

This is the last day and as you can see, I am getting there. 15 hours to go on 12-12-12.

There will be no Squadron codes on this one. Just a generic Spitty.

Out with the index card to make finishing notes. Position lights etc before a finishing coat. The decals a sourced from an old ESCI sheet and an Air Mark sheet. Applied over Future with a Future topcoat to seal things up.

Made it with 3 1/2 hours to spare. I really enjoyed this build and have myself to blame for the delay in finishing but the kids will always come first. Time spent with the new granddaughter was tops. Oh, yes, work did intervene off and on. Still deploying people to the East Coast and I have been on standby since 11-11-12.

I do wish to thank David (lancfan) again for sending to spares to make this kit complete.

Time for a little butter and maple syrup on my Belgium Waffle.

Looks brilliant Jeff, these kits were so far ahead of the rest they just haven't aged and your rendition looks great in Belgian markings.
