Very, very good recovery and problem-solving at its best! Comparing the with radio and without, the former is definitely better and there will be some of it visible from outside.
I'm thinking that the model will be quite a weight.

The wing halves need much sanding & cleaning to mate up right and I'm not doing it indoors. Should be warmer tomorrow so I hope to get at them. I started on the engines & cowls but with my cold I just wasn't that interested in some delicate resin clean-up work ...

I've fallen behind, so must try to step up the pace somewhere ...

I will be a DNF on this, I have made little progress other than to start cleaning up the engines, cowls, and props.


As with my Lend-Lease DNF, I got a bit out of sync when I started the GB on vacation even though I did take it along to fiddle with, then a somewhat last-minute Christmas trip compounded the problem.

I reached a point where I really needed to take the wings outside and do some sanding to get them to fit together cleanly but was prevented by cold weather & a cold and/or other things which prevented me from getting outside when the weather was good.

Looking at the resin build I think you’re right in that the join is not as bad as you thought. I think if you run same tape down either side following the long panel line and the fill and sand to the level of the tape it should take care if the undulating seam.

Whichever kit you decide to tackle it will good to see progress on these interesting projects.
