I bet you thought that I had forgotten about this one didn't you. It just went on the back burner whilst Xmas planning etc. got done.
So with that all out of the way I have made some progress.
The innards went together with no issues other than I forgot to take any pictures.
I have closed up the fuselage. Normally these Hasegawa kits fall together but this one needed some filler along every join.
Next up was the only modification that needs to be made - remove the bulge over the wheel bays as this was a post war mod to facilitate
wider wheels I think.
Here you can see that I have done the port wing & am about to start on the other.
Once that was done I re-scribed the panel lines that I had sanded away & attached the wing to the fuselage.
This is more like a Hasegawa fit - no filler required except on the underside. Another case of
Spitfire bottom.
So this is where I am up to now. Tail on, wingtips attached & chin fitted:
A little more sanding required & masking of the canopy today me thinks.
