Yeah, some very weird glue I suppose. I have used FROG decals before but it has been a very long time ago. Don't remember that strange slimy feel before. When I built the Macchi C.202 it didn't have that sense. But it was no doubt a newer kit.

My old Physics prof got an award by making a frog float in a magnetic field... No contact necessary! :ha:

No slime on the Mustang's decals. And they bedded down in Pledge/Future/Kleer/Whatever nicely. They were quite thick, but not in the same league as the Blue Rider decals I used on the P-38.

Cheers

Very pleasant day. Moved a little snow around (about 12 inches) and finished my Lend Lease build.

Tried a new technique for me. I used Crayola water colors for the wash. Applying the color into the panel lines in the same fashion as the "Grundge" method, when dry, wipe the excess off with a damp bud. Finish with the dull coat of your choice. I think it worked out OK. Antennas done with sprue and also sprue for the pitot tude to make in more to scale.

I think that this would classify as a CBK Gem. It was a really fun build and had very little to fret about. The way modeling should be.

That's turned out very nicely Jeff and it's great that it caused you no major hassles.

Great build Jeff.

Before seeing your build I would have totally ignored the kit if I saw it in a shop, now I will probably take a second look and get one.

It's easy to forget all the non mainstream a/c that Frog produced, thanks for reminding me.
