Secret Santa Chat

What did your Secret Santa send you this Christmas? Have you been naughty or nice? Did you get a Trumpeter 1/48 Lump of Coal, or a nice old Airfix classic? Your builds should be chronicled here, starting Decmber 25th (ho, ho, ho!) and lasting through January 31st. Admins: Brickie and Paul Bradley

Secret Santa Chat

Post by PaulBradley »

Here's a place to chat about your Secret Santa kits - what you got and what you are going to do with it....

Build starts December 25th, and ends January 31st. Please remember that people have taken the time and money to send you this gift, so please do your best to get these models completed.

Please set up your own build threads.

(Edited to revise start date.)

Are we starting on December 25th or January 1st? I thought it was the 1st but the headline in the group build says "...starting December 25th (ho ho ho!) and lasting through January 31st"

I'd prefer to start December 25th but this is not my group build so I will go with the flow.

I would like to start on the 25th but a certain lady would not be too appreciative' Christmas is supposed to be for the kids after all  even the big ones ;-) . I have not peeked into the parcel I received, it is well hidden (by Sarah) and I'm not allowed to go searching  . ho well. mores the surprise on Christmas day eh.
The question is this though. have any of you peeked? :-D

All the best.

No peeking for me! This is likely to be the only kit I get for Christmas*, and I don't want to spoil the surprise!

regards,

Martin

*Saving my pennies for when:

- a Weekend Edition of the Eduard Bf110G-4 hits the streets
- ditto RS Models Lightning F-4
- ditto Airfix Typhoon!!!!!!!
- ditto Airfix Lancaster

I'd quite like a 1/144 Eduard Spit IX, though . . .

regards,

Martin

I haven't yet but I will be opening it and starting my thread over the weekend as I'm away for Christmas and I don't want to take more things away with me than I have to...

Nope, not even considered it. I'm not sure if that confirms I am a grumpy old man or that I can contain myself!? However I am really looking forward to seeing what awaits me.

There's a big hayfield up near Buxton. It's got a long rock wall with a big oak tree at the north end. It's like something out of a Robert Frost poem. At the base of that wall, you'll find a rock that has no earthly business in a Maine hayfield. Piece of black, volcanic glass. There's something buried under it I want you to have.
