Bluesteel's SS Walrus ***FINISHED***

What did your Secret Santa send you this Christmas? Have you been naughty or nice? Did you get a Trumpeter 1/48 Lump of Coal, or a nice old Airfix classic? Your builds should be chronicled here, starting Decmber 25th (ho, ho, ho!) and lasting through January 31st. Admins: Brickie and Paul Bradley

Nice bit of work with the interior.

Fuselage halves ready for sealing. Fore and aft guns will be in the stowed position and no crew in place, so a little more of the through hatch detail will be visible. I suspect the other crew would be seated somewhere withing the main fuselage.

That interior looks very nicely done.

Actually I'm quite looking forward to the rigging, EZ line is wonderful stuff :-D

It's just getting accurate rigging references that will take a little while.

Watching this with interest - an interesting looking kit but rigging in 1/72 scares me. I need to get hold of some EZ-Line myself; where do you get it?

I got mine from Berkshire Junction at Telford 2010 ( http://www.berkshirejunction.com; ). But I think other online suppliers stock it too, I know little-cars.co.uk do for example. It's available in different colours as well as 3 and 6 thou.

Seams didn't need to much work, Tippex was suficient. Then the first undercoat in the base camo colours:

Hi Julien - I've just posted some pics on Petes Walrus build thread. It is the Walrus in Hendon museum (a Mk.V) which shows some of the rigging points.

Started work on the rather complex four colour camo scheme. As I haven't got al the specified Humbrol paints, I'm approximating with Revell Acrylics.

Thanks James. This GB seems to have given me the push I needed to get rolling again. Despite the numerous difficulties of the Airfix Walrus, I'm really enjoying this build
