Re: Bluesteel's SS Walrus
Fuselage halves ready for sealing. Fore and aft guns will be in the stowed position and no crew in place, so a little more of the through hatch detail will be visible. I suspect the other crew would be seated somewhere withing the main fuselage.

That interior looks very nicely done.
You aren't putting off rigging, are you?

Re: Bluesteel's SS Walrus
Actually I'm quite looking forward to the rigging, EZ line is wonderful stuffMerlinJones wrote:That interior looks very nicely done.

It's just getting accurate rigging references that will take a little while.

Watching this with interest - an interesting looking kit but rigging in 1/72 scares me. I need to get hold of some EZ-Line myself; where do you get it?

Re: Bluesteel's SS Walrus
I got mine from Berkshire Junction at Telford 2010 ( http://www.berkshirejunction.com; ). But I think other online suppliers stock it too, I know little-cars.co.uk do for example. It's available in different colours as well as 3 and 6 thou.Brickie wrote:Watching this with interest - an interesting looking kit but rigging in 1/72 scares me. Seams didn't need to much work, Tippex was suficient. Then the first undercoat in the base camo colours:

Re: Bluesteel's SS Walrus
Hi Julien - I've just posted some pics on Petes Walrus build thread. It is the Walrus in Hendon museum (a Mk.V) which shows some of the rigging points.

Re: Bluesteel's SS Walrus
Started work on the rather complex four colour camo scheme. As I haven't got al the specified Humbrol paints, I'm approximating with Revell Acrylics.

Thanks James. This GB seems to have given me the push I needed to get rolling again. Despite the numerous difficulties of the Airfix Walrus, I'm really enjoying this buildJamesPerrin wrote:You seem to be motoring along there mate, good to see you back in action.
