Bluesteel's SS Walrus ***FINISHED***

What did your Secret Santa send you this Christmas? Have you been naughty or nice? Did you get a Trumpeter 1/48 Lump of Coal, or a nice old Airfix classic? Your builds should be chronicled here, starting Decmber 25th (ho, ho, ho!) and lasting through January 31st. Admins: Brickie and Paul Bradley

Top of upper wing attached OK. Tail surfaces all attached and braced. Working on the canopy frames and the last decals. Then, bar a few minor paint touch ups, it'll be complete. :-D Photos to come later.

Finished!

And thank you so much to my Secret Santa for allowing me to revisit a gem of a kit as well as an 'old friend' from my childhood (the last time I built one) and finally working out a great way to make rigging it easy

More photos in the completions section.

I was going to mount it on a stand in flight (hence the hole cut underneath), but now I have an Eduard HMS Emperor Hellcat, I'm thinking of making a diorama on a sea-base depicting it picking up the pilot of the ditched Hellcat. Might be fun.

Jolly nice build. The varying shades of green and greys make for an interesting scheme.

Great job Julian! You've inspired me to pull mine out of the stash!

Don't see too many of these built and your effort is outstanding. I'm sure your SS is pleased!

Great finish Julian. That's some paint job you've done there.
