Great work Andrew, some nice additions to this little model, in particular I like the filler. You can never add enough filler to a model :ha:
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!

If I add any more, the Kettenkrad will explode

Looking good! Too much filler and it might end up 1/60th though...

Too true! I've now hidden the filler under a layer of sand primer. A Photobucket error prevents me from showing the evidence, unfortunately. Hopefully I'll get the base colour on tomorrow.

Cheers

Here's the picture that couldn't be uploaded yesterday.

I've put a layer of sand primer on, and I hope to get a base coat on later this evening.

The aircraft is the Wild Weather Hawker Tempest.

Almost finished. I got the base coats on everything and then used a gentle spray over with the sand primer I happened to have in the airbrush to give it that "sand blasted and windswept" look.

I still want to put some straps on the tilt and maybe make the tilt colour a little greener, to give a bit more contrast with the bodywork.

Well whatever you are going to do with it, get a move on. There's only 5 days left!

And it's finished as far as I can go now. I usually like a little diorama to go with my AFV builds, but time (and a large number of GB committments) has taken its toll. Plus I haven't got any Afrika Korps figures at the moment. :)

Image

The last bit, done this afternoon, was to paint the masking tape straps on the rolled up canvas tilt in a very pale green, to look like a faded canvas.

Maybe I'll use it on an Eighth Army diorama as an abandoned vehicle....

More photos in better light please, Andrew. Can't really make out much.
But well done for finishing, you certainly made yourself a lot of work with this model.

I'll try to get natural light ones soon. There's not actually a lot to see with this kit, given the size. The 1/48 scale Tamiya version has a lot more detail on it.

My extra little bits really didn't take very long to do - I spent a lot longer trying to get those side pieces to fit

Cheers

I've tweaked the contrast and brightness on those photos a bit

Except that Photobucket is still showing the old ones in the forum, but the edited ones on screen.

Edit: three of the four have changed to the high contrast and brightness versions. The other is mysteriously reluctant to do so...

cheers

If you wait long enough it will change in its own good time.
Oh, the joys of Photo-Bucket!
