More progress tonight and on track for another just under the wire finish.

Start of play about four and a half hours ago.

End of play (almost).

Just after this pic I attached the Huckebein's canopy and painted it shortly after.

All the best.

Thanks Sissel and Saxon. A few parts to add to the Huckebein and the Sukhoi and then it's decal and finish time.

All the best.

Well. They're finished. All in all two enjoyable little kits that if done with care can sit beside much more expensive 'shake and bake' kits and still catch the eye. I was going to furnish these with yellow 'prototype' P's in yellow circles but the only ones I had that were the right size were letraset type rub on ones and they failed miserably and didn't adhere to the surface of the model. The decal spares folder was raided for the RAF markings for both of these and the under wing ones came from an original bagged issue Airfix Folland Gnat (the silver and dayglo one that had wing tanks) These ancient decals worked perfectly. Enough of me banging on, Here's the pics.

At start of play.

HMM, A look through the spare decal file methinks is in order

So many decals so little time. (Seriously, this is just one sleeve from the file)
Image

This was just taking the 'P' (epic decal fail)

Onwards and upwards.

Almost there.

Sorted. The two finished models. (wonder if I can sneak another in before the GB finishes LoL - only kidding)
Image

Hope you enjoyed watching the builds as much as I did building them.

All the best.

Two very effective "what may have beens" two models that reveal what these would have looked like had the full-size been completed in time for the surrender.

Cheers guys. I'll be picking up more of these in the very near future for similar treatment.

All the best.
