Arf!
Progress thus far.. wings and tailplanes on.. great fit, but very tight. Tiny bit of filler on the fuselage seam. Also visible: canopy pieces wrapped in Tamiya tape ahead of me changing the blade on me knife (right, Bruce ) and attempting my Second-least-Favourite modelling chore (painting wheels is undisputed #1)
Tonight I am mostly listening to Belle & Sebastian and rejoicing that it looks like we're going to have Hockey after all this year!

Those rear control surfaces were a bear to install but only because they were so tight. It could have been worse though they could have been loose and not hold their position.

I can't begin to tell you how much I hate masking generally but masking cockpit canopies in particular Mike. For me it's definitely the worst aspect of painting. I'm taking a chance on the cockpit glazing fitting well and have left it off until after the main painting is complete and given the small size of the glass and decent frame definition, I'll probably elect to freehand paint the frames.
Your Emil is shaping up well, best of luck with the canopy masking!

Shaun - the glazing does fit well. I just needed a couple of spots of PVA. I'll be posting pics (sooner or later).

Canopy (mostly) masked.. a couple of wee bits to tidy up but I can't face it till I've had a cuppa..
Then more masking as we prepare to apply the splinter camo. I can see the home straight approaching.. definitely past due for an AAAAAARGH

No need for an AAAAAARGH with this kit, Mike. You're going great guns. Keep it up!
