Airfix stand from an old Vanguard kit. Modified by cutting off the locating tab and gluing in two short pieces of brass rod

Which fits into these two holes......

And - here it is. Can you hear the growl of the Daimler ?

I broke both the aileron balance weights, so they are missing. Also broke the radio mast which is replaced by stretched sprue. Cracked the spinner into three. Don't look too closely !

Excellent finish Simon, that looks great on a classic Airfix stand with the prop blur. In those markings and displayed like that it is very evocative of one of these machines chasing over the English countryside looking for trouble!

I also managed to lose bits or break them - I of course blame the sprue gates and not my own clumsiness ;-)

Did you make the prop blur yourself?
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Thanks Shaun. I really like it in these markings too. I can imagine it at zero feet strafing 'lame duck' hurricanes and a Flt Sgt tries to set them on fire.

I'd like to say I made the prop, but sadly I don't have the skills, this is a commercially available one from http://www.propblur.com/; they are very friendly and good to deal with.

That's a classic looking 109, Simon. I love it!
I think we all broke something on this build. Mine was the aerial pole....
I'm a mostly full-time modeller put a part-time poster....
